no i dont think u over reacted, if that certain player only wanted the bonus, then he should of been in a group with other people who wanted to do the bonus, not a group who needed the mish and didnt know what to do. thats the problem with pugs nowadays, people only seem to join teams for the bonus, regardless of how many people need the mission

A group and I were looking for a Runner to Drok(sp) we stood there for an hour waiting. Mind you it was 2am and I was heck bound on getting there ebfore I ascended. (still in first run of game) We finally got one so we went out into Snake Dance, the runner went on his job. It got boring due to the silence so I go to find something to beat up only to find a big monster with lots of friends...YEA!! So I retreat and me and everyone else dies

Jerk: OMG I hate when retard kids ruin the game.
Me: Sorry I didn't mena for it. It's only game.
Jerk: Not all of us think that way. I spend alot of life on this and don't need kids to shrew it up.

During a recent THK mission with my warrior I found someone that I actually put on ignore, something that honestly takes a lot for me to do. The mesmer in our group calls for regen; fine..no problem. So, my fellow warrior and I step back, stop and wait. The ranger rushes ahead like a madman and aggroes a group. Now, mind you, at this point, the warriors are standing right next to the mesmer..waiting. Sooooooooooo, said mesmer turns around and starts flaming the..you guessed it..warriors (who had not moved until the aggored group was rushing us) for being noobs and rushing. She got rather insultive and ahem..colorful..in her wording choice then left in a huff. Needless to say, mission failed. So, we trudge back to THK to start again, and there is our 'friendly' mesmer, advertising for a group "NON NOOBS ONLY, unlike my last group". Being the peacemaker and still stinging over the unfair criticism, I decide to message her and clear things up. Bad bad mistake. The insults continued until I finally just put her on ignore. I've met some real 'winners' playing the game, but she had to be the absolute worst.

Well, something similar may have already been mentioned, but I just ran into this a little bit ago when trying to get my level 13 R/N through the Borliss Pass mission. I joined a group and for whatever reason there were 3 necros. Two of them were level 20 and both were MM. I guess the 3rd was a level 9 MM necro too. Anyway, were probably half-way through the mission and there is a huge army of minions that have been amassed. Then the next thing we know we are smack dab in the midde of a sea of red. Tons of enemy all around attacking us and mowed us down very quickly. After the dust settles only the level 9 necro is left with a giant army of minions.

He never responded to anyone so we all left, but all we could figure is the stupid punk used Verata's Gaze or something like that and broke all the minions bond with their masters and they all destroyed us. What an ass. I wasn't really upset, but I do think it was pretty childish though.

My second jerk encounter. I was in Camp Rankor I was waiting for my friend to return because he was Afk.

Jerk: You remember me .
Me: I am sorry but I dont.

1) Title: Gates of Jerk

As you can see, this story passed at Gates of Kryta yesterday.
I was there, with my Hydromancer, searching a group (I dont like henchs in this mission for the reason of the poisoned swamps). I got a group. First time, failed because Justiciar has been killed

. The second time, Warriors left in our group and we were: 2 ele (Fire and Water), 2 necro (Blood/curse and MM) and 2 monk (Heal/Smite and Less-Healer/Tanker). Guess who is the Jerk in this group? The ''monk tank''. We start, the Healer/Smite dies to the first undead group (Really fast). The... hum... tank... rez.

Jerk: Do not die
Mo: I know, It was my fault to run in the group.
Jerk: Do not die

We continue to the first boss... a mesmer.
Jerk: Do not die
Fire: Ok we know we must not die
Jerk: Do not die

I click on his name and I saw Healing breeze and protective spirit soon after. He has PS at GoK?I'm sure he got a run to get it.

Me: Has I notice you're will be a 55HP

2) The Guild Team and The Alone

Before writing this second story, I want to tell to everyone that I have my own reasons that I WONT ENTER IN A GUILD (Bad experience

).

I was at Temple of Ages for Villany of Galrath quest with my MM.

Team: GLF one more for Villany and we go
Join the group and we go soon after I joined. Few seconds later, I saw they're in the same guild. And that it where begins the conversation.
R/Mo: Would you join our guild?
Me: No I have my own reasons why I wont be in a guild
W/N: Come on, we're sync in battles
W/Mo: We do lot GvG
R/Mo: We're very Helpful than the other guild. (You will now why Helpful is in Bold).
W/Mo we can finish your 15k set. (Because I started to gain money for my 15k set necrotic and its finish now).
E/Me: Guys, If she (Im a guy really but play a female necro) doesnt want to join, just let her in peace.
W/Mo: Ok but we will show to her what we can do
R/Mo: how helpful we are
We arrive at he place where the tower is.
R/Mo: Damn, gtg
R/Mo Left
W/Mo Oh shit I must go to work
W/Mo left
Others left except Me and the E/Me
E/Me: I can believe it they quit in the middle of this quest and I'm the Guild leader.

Ok, I'm quite a calm guy most of the time, but I do have my limits (Who doesn't?). Anyway, I had recently created a Guild for my friends whom I had persuaded to buy the game.

Was out looking for potential recruits one day, advertising my presence (not in the "OMG Great nu Gild luking fr members" style) when I get a whisper asking for some help. So, I meet the guy and he's Lvl2 and tells me he doesn't know how to play the game. I think 'Well, ok, he made a mistake coming to Post too early, but hey ho' So I take him outside and help him level up, teach him about aggro etc. and he's a good Member.

The Guild grows and we're all happy in it for a while. We get a Guild Hall and begin to GvG... not a good plan for this chap. Whenever we had a battle, it was like a little switch at the back of his head went from 'normal' to 'angry and competitive'. On our first battle, we begin to assault the enemy Hall and the Tactician draws where to attack from. We carry out the plan apart from that guy. He decides he'd much rather try tanking with his Monk/Necro.

Obviously, he dies and begins having a fit! 'OMG, Where were you guys? I was trying to kill their archers. Don't you ----ing n00bs know about these things?' Which was ironic because, as far as I remembered, it was HE who didn't know about the game. We eventually win and we forgive the guy.

Time goes on, the guy decides that he wants to leave 'Fair enough' I think, but we had very few members at that time, so I ask him if he wants to be an Officer to try and recruit people (he was leaving 'cause of inactivity) he says yes and we decide to have a GvG.

This time, we begin to lose. Badly. Our Tactician calls for us to get back into the Keep. The guy decides this is a stupid plan; he takes his M/N tankiness outside and begins to take the fight to the foes. He dies, again. He blames us, again. But now, with his new-found Officer-uberness, he thinks he can insult all of the players, their families and their characters. I kick him. If he can't even die without having a hissy fit, I don't ant him in our Guild.

Was I a bit too heavy handed?

So I decided to start up a B/P team for a quick run into PvE tombs. I'm on my necro and I don't really feel like doing anything special so I decide to just play the orders. All I've gotta do is spam saccing skills and make sure I don't kill myself doing it. So, the way I avoid death by saccing is by accumulating DP so my max health is lower. Once my health is low I get my max health back faster with blood renewal which means I can use sac skills more often. This was before the orders nerf so my process involved constantly casting sac spells so that both orders were always up. As long as things were dying and giving me soul reaping I could go on forever casting one sac skill after another and never get my health below 75%. Just so my team doesn't freak out I inform them that I'll be killing myself at the beginning. After many lols and some ???'s people usually eventually see why I do what I do and that's that. Not on this day :/

Me: just so you know, I like to kill myself frequently to keep my DP low. It helps make my regen more efficient.

I think you'll find it's easier to reason with a gorilla. At least they know what they want and how to get it. I'd say the reasoning abilities of guys like these is comparable to a rock.

I only have a minor gripe this time. I was doing Ring of Fire with a PUG and to my amazement, we made it through and easily. There however was a W/Mo (surprise) who constantly was aggroing several mobs, shouting "HEAL ME", not letting the casters regen.. etc. normal wammo stuff. At the front gate, he was rushing the ether seals at once:

Me: Please let us regen our energy
Wammo: Nah
Other group member: You can try soloing it if you think you can
Wammo: Na
Me: Not much of a help if we're low on energy
Wammo: I said na

And again inside the fort:

Me: Would it be too much to ask for you to let us regen?
Wammo: Please do regen

And proceeds to aggro next Ether seal right after killing the previous one. Everyone was pretty much at 0 energy at that point. Well, we move on and have a few patrols ahead:

Us: Let's pull one patrol at a time
Wammo: I pull them for you

And makes every enemy there is run towards us. We scatter but still manage to fight them off, after which he replies

Wammo: Well excuse me that we died
Wammo: I'm SO SORRY
Wammo: Much faster

Later on I asked, what's wrong with taking things slower especially with a long and hard mission, which I don't particularly want to start over - this he didn't reply to. At the end we made it and the warrior seemed happy:

Wammo: Good work
Wammo: Very fast

I don't know if he was trying to make some kind of time record or something.

What I didn't get is that he obviously knew about playing, but just didn't care. Is this more dangerous than the usual attitude where a player just doesn't realize what's involved in teamplay?

Earlier I was in a PUG that was trying to do the Dunes of Despair Bonus. We had a balanced build, and the last member was a W/x. So we start out, and W/x aka "Jerk" doesn't move. Hmm...

Player Member: Hey, "Jerk," are you there - we're waiting
*5-10 more seconds go by*

So we all fight to the place where you pick up the slow-down thingy, and this appears:

Jerk: We don't need to do the bonus.
Rest of us: We're doing the bonus... that's why we're doing this...etc.

**Time to do the bonus***

Jerk runs off on his own, not listening to what he being told, and dies. the next text I see is:

Jerk: Guess you're going to have to skip the bonus and just get the mission now.

Justice was served to the jerk, tho - we didn't get the bonus, and he didn't get the mission. (It wasn't a very good group :/ ) (just glad I already had the mission done

i know this isnt in guildwars but when i was playing halo 2, i was in a snipers game. this guy was ragging on me and i was like w/e i no scoped him twice in the face and im a sniping noob. my party leader left b4 i could rag on him. another game i played last nite was this idiot named something bread was dissin on me and i beat his score easily (again in a sniping game which im a noob at)
